At school most of us thought we were learning. The reality is, at school all you were doing was memorising. School is all about memorising.
If you had to do an exam the next day so you stayed up late at night. Didn’t matter that you had weeks before to study, you wait till the last night. You were memorising everything so you would hopefully pass the exam/test, true? If you had to resit that test a year, two, five years later without remorising you would not pass, so you haven’t really learnt. That’s not enough in today’s world. If we want to get a modern 21st century education that’s gonna service us for life we need to integrate it with who we are. The most powerful way to learn is to actually teach.
